FAQ

How long is each visit?

In most cases your initial visit is an hour. After that, each treatment may range from 30 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes.

How much does each visit cost?

Your initial visit will cost $100. Each subsequent visit will range between $55 and $110, depending on the length of the visit.

Do you take insurance?

All auto and work related injuries are billed through the authorized insurance companies. Depending upon your personal insurance coverage, our therapy treatment may be classified under either massage therapy or alternative medicine therapy. We suggest you call the toll free customer inquiry number on the back of your insurance card before scheduling an appointment to determine if you have complete or partial coverage and if a copay is due at time of appointment.

What types of conditions do you treat?

We treat a variety of symptomatic, acute and chronic conditions, such as:

  • Muscle pain

  • Joint pain

  • Headaches

  • Tissue inflammation

  • Back pain

  • Frozen shoulder

  • Sciatica

  • Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and osteoarthritis

  • Numbness and tingling in hands and feet

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Strained ligaments and tendons

  • Sport injuries

  • Edema and swelling

  • Neuromuscular disorders

  • Genetic disorders

  • Repetitive stress or strain injury (RSI)

  • Stress fractures

  • Scoliosis

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Fatigue

What do I wear during treatment?

Depending upon the type of condition and accessibility to treatment areas, you may be able to remain fully clothed or be asked to remove everything except your undergarments. Except for the area being treated, you will be covered by a sheet at all times.

What is Trigger Point Therapy?

Located in the skeletal muscle, trigger points, are spots that produce pain when compressed. Trigger Point Therapy is an alternative therapy that focuses on detecting and releasing the compressed area or “trigger points.”

Is treatment painful?

Any area of inflammation is bound to be sensitive. Naturally, our aim is to relieve pain, not cause it. However, applying pressure to trigger points that are in distress may feel uncomfortable for short periods of time. Trigger points, located in the skeletal muscle, are spots that produce pain when compressed. How sensitive the area is and how much pressure to use will determine the depth and duration of the treatment. Remember, our goal is for you to leave our office feeling better than when you walked in.

How often do I need to come back?

Of course, each patient and situation is unique. A recent injury or moderate pain may only require one visit. More chronic and recurring conditions may require multiple or even regular monthly visits. If your condition requires more than one visit, we will note signs of improvement and reassess depending upon the desired result. If we do not see significant improvement after 3 to 5 visits, we may consider another approach or a combination of treatments. Our aim is to get you back to enjoying the lifestyle you desire as quickly as possible.
